                          Practice groups and standards

Little Cudas – Red and White Levels -                                                                             

·        There will be 2-5 week sessions with two classes per week -. Tues./Thur., 45 minutes per class

·        Class sizes are limited and will fill up on a first come first serve basis.

·        Times to be determined after registration depending on enrollment numbers

·        Times  & days subject to change if enrollment is not sufficient .

                  Private lessons will also be offered

Criteria

  • Comfortable in water
  • Swim 1 length of pool ( 25 yards)

Equipment list:    Goggles,  Clinton Cuda Cap – You must wear if you have long hair

 

Age Group - Blue Level - 3 days          M W F       6:00 PM-7:30 PM                                                                          

Focus on skill development and technique in strokes, starts and turns.

Speed is not the focus. 

Approximately 50% of work is kicking.

Criteria:

·         50 yds proficient free w/ rhythmic breathing

·         50 yds proficient backstroke

·         50 yds proficient free and back kick

·         forward dive

·         appropriate listening skills

·         understanding of breast pull and kick

·         understanding of fly kick

Equipment list: Goggles,  Clinton Cuda Cap – You must wear if you have long hair,  Fins and the Team Package of  Shirt, Shorts and Mesh Bag

 

Age Group - Black Level – 5 days      M - F    6:00 PM to 7:45 PM                                                              

Continued focus on skill development and endurance (technique first, speed later). 

Basic interval training/aerobic conditioning. 

Compete in “long events” for age group.  25-50% of work is kicking. 

Criteria:

·         400 free with proficient breathing, kick and turns (time under 720)

·         75 each stroke with legal turns and kicks (speed will be a factor)

·         200 kick of each stroke (speed will be a factor)

Equipment list: Goggles,  Clinton Cuda Cap – You must wear if you have long hair,  Fins and the Team Package of  Shirt, Shorts and Mesh Bag

 

 

Senior Level – 6 days          M-F  6:00 PM to 8:15 PM , Sat. TBA                 

AM Practices will be available for Gold Level Swimmers

Entry into the Gold Level is a privilege not a right                                         

 Swimmers should be ready to make a greater time commitment and handle a heavier practice load. 

Positive attitude and willingness to work hard are required.

Criteria:

·         appropriate attitude

·         recognize position of being active role model for entire team

·         have and maintain a positive attitude toward training and racing

·         be prepared to train at highest level possible on daily basis

·         be on time to practice and in water when told

·         10x 100 free @ 1:30

·         10x100 kick @ 155

·        200 each stroke proficiently

·         swimmer should be prepared to attend all practices, absences should be rare

·         doing another school sport, must attend minimum of 2/week - although swimming should be main sport for this level

·         High school swimming season-should come once a week.

Equipment list: Goggles, Clinton Cuda Cap – You must wear if you have long hair,  Fins, Paddles and the Team Package of Shirt, Shorts and Mesh Bag and Team Jacket

Scholastic (Those that swim Varsity/Modified Swimming ONLY)                                                    

Independent  (Those that swim Varsity/Modified Swimming but use Clinton as place of practice)

Fee is whatever Level applies to you.

Discount for multiple swimmers from one family – Please note this does NOT include meet fees, equipment or USA Registration fee.   Number of swimmers in family must be in Blue, Black or Senior Levels

2 swimmers – 10 %,  3 swimmers – 15 % ,  4 or more swimmers – 20 %
